Cats Love Being With Their Owners

Cats love being with their owners

Many people think that cats are surly, individualistic and unloving animals. In our culture in particular, these pets are associated as symbols of bad luck and there are those who even believe that these beautiful animals are treacherous. However, not everything is what it seems.

It is evident that these respond to a very different nature than that of dogs. Their survival instinct is specially designed to evade the danger posed by other species larger and stronger than themselves. Beyond this, small cats are capable of creating a strong bond with man.

The truth is that cats love being with their owners. Here we will show some evidence about the affection that these animals can have for the human race.

Cats follow their owners

A fact that is much commented on by cat owners is that with time together, these pets begin to create the habit of following their owners wherever they go.

Let’s get up, go into the bathroom, and then go to the kitchen for breakfast. Wherever we go, we see that someone is behind us, following our every move we make. It’s our cat.

There are many hypotheses about the reason for this behavior. Some believe that this is a way of mimicking our movements. Meanwhile, another theory indicates that perhaps domestic cats follow their owners out of distraction.

Cats like to lick us

Some little felines get too close to humans. So much so that they usually lick the head or hair of the owners. This is not that common, but if we make very careful movements, it can happen.

Actually, the lick of cats is a way of showing affection and fidelity to other kittens that are part of their usual group. But being used to us, they could show us their feelings of attachment with their language. It’s as if they told us that we are part of their pack.

We must also remember that this action of licking the head and the fur is something that cats do to groom their young. It is logical to think that these cats only lick when there is a very strong bond.

Special relationship … with women

It has always been said that single women who reach a certain age end up living with cats. Apparently that old stereotype is not so false and there is a good reason that explains it: cats have a special connection with women.

It turns out that a study carried out by scientists from the University of Vienna showed that relationships of mutual correspondence develop between women and kittens. Cats can interpret the needs of their owners and interact when they need them most.

This study also indicated that this species can remember the favors that their owners have done for them, with the intention of repaying them with affection and company.

Cats prefer us

According to another recent study published by the journal Behavioral Processes , these little felines prefer to interact more with humans than with any other object. To verify this, the behavior of a group of cats that were isolated from food, toys and from their human owners was verified.

After spending a few hours, the cats that were part of the experiment showed a greater need to interact with their owners than with anything else. The most surprising thing was to see that some preferred their owners to take a bite of their food.

With this , the myth that mini cats are individual animals, mean and detached from people collapses. All of that is false!

Almost all cats sleep on their owners

We are sleeping and suddenly the kitten climbs on top of us, on our feet, and even on our face. Unlike dogs, kittens prefer to spend their night’s sleep close to their owners.

There are many reasons that would explain this cat behavior. The main thing is that cats prefer to sleep in warm places at night, a period of the day in which temperatures tend to drop considerably.

Cats love being with their owners. There is a lot of evidence about it.
