Shops and malls can already allow pets to enter clothing, perfume, jewelry, shoe stores and many more. That is why it is increasingly common for us to see people with their dogs in large shopping centers, even when they are closed.

Those who are not animal lovers have started a debate in which they claim that it does not make sense for an animal to go shopping. Animal lovers have taken for granted thinking that they take them for fools.

It is obvious that animals are not going to buy anything, but  it is simply about them being with us, not staying or feeling alone at home and integrating them into society and the real world, a world to which they also belong. .

Although shopping center stores that have decided that pets can enter, it is true that small street businesses decide, according to their criteria, whether or not the animal can enter.

Tips for shopping with your pet

Obviously, the fact that our pet is allowed in stores does not give us the right to go in any way and not take certain precautions or take into account various aspects such as these:

• The size of the dog. If your dog is very large and the store you want to enter is small or with narrow aisles, don’t you think you could get in trouble? Here common sense wins about being right, and not wanting to spoil with our attitudes what others have taken so long to achieve. Please be careful.

• Always take your dog on a leash. No matter how good your pet is, it could annoy other people or accidentally throw something away. To avoid these situations, always keep your animal on a leash and keep it as close to you as possible. If it is very small, you could put it in your bag, for example.
• Your personality. Another aspect to take into account is the personality of your dog. We all believe that our pet is the best, but we must be honest and consistent. Does your dog try to bite others at the first turn? Do you move too much and don’t know what you hit? Is he one of those who pulls on the leash and doesn’t obey you? Then you better not go shopping with your pet.
• Accept a “no.” That many stores have accepted that pets enter, does not mean that all are required. If you arrive at a store and ask if you can enter with a dog, cat or whatever, and they say no, just say something nice, smile and just leave. You won’t gain anything by arguing and, what’s more, you won’t be right.

You can now go shopping with your pet, just like you can go to the terrace of a restaurant, a hotel or a hairdresser, but remember that the owners of the establishments are the ones who decide, and our good attitude could motivate those who they do not allow him, for now, to change his mind. Nothing is obtained with arguments or violence.
